From Belgium To Bucharest there are a lot of options, Ryanair and Wizzair from Charleroi or Blue Air and Tarom from Brussels.
Since a drive to Charleroi can be an extra hassle
and public transport from where I live isn't convenient,
we opted for the cheapest option
from Brussels which was Blue Air.
Flight details
19 July 2019
BRUSSELS (BRU) - BUCHAREST (OTP)
0B 124
Departure 19:10
Arrival 22:55
Aircraft : BOEING B737-400 YR-BAS
Blue Air operates a fleet of Boeing B737. At the time of our flight the B737 Max was grounded, as a result Blue Air flew some of it's classics longer than it anticipated I believe.
Our flight was scheduled to depart at 19:10, however the aircraft arrived late from Bucharest at 18:55.
Our flight was operated by a B737-400 YR-BAS delivered to Lufthansa in 1992.
Following a boarding delay we got on out seats 10 A/B on a very full aircraft.
Our aircraft was clearly ex-Lufthansa
After boarding we were delayed further as the Captain reported there was some paperwork missing and we had also more passengers than seats on this flight.
Our flight left eventually at 20:15. Roughly one hour late.
I pre-booked a meal online as it was relatively cheap, less than 10 Euro, since a Sandwich in the airport costs already that much we decided to try it.
You can choose your preferred meal before your flight and while maybe the meal did not look fantastic it did taste great! I thought was well worth the money.
We arrived to Bucharest one hour later than scheduled.
I found Blue Air absolutely fine, they are now flying newer aircraft then at the time of this review. The meal was really good, worth the money!
The Price was 150 euro one way, booked in peak season incl Seat reservation, luggage and meal.
