The Anara hotel is located near Jakarta Terminal 3 on the middle level near the Parking. Because our connecting flight was only the next day we had to overnight in Jakarta. We decided to stay close to the airport as the traffic can be horrendous in Jakarta.
When you arrive in Terminal 3 (Arrivals) and exit customs, stay in the right side and use the escalators up one floor. Then walk straight through the sliding doors across the pass way turn right and you arrive at the hotel. It is easy to find and covered walkways all the way.
Upon arrival we were checked in quickly ln and arrived in our room 308. We requested a quietly located room. Ours was facing the terminal building but it was very quiet (no car-plane noise).
The hotel is new this everything looks fresh. The hallways did have a bit of damp-sewage smell. The rooms are standard with shower, tea and coffee maker, good blackout curtains, safe, tv, comfortable king size bed and mini fridge.
The a/c was quiet and worked fine.
We ordered room service which was quick and tasty, the hotel offers 24h room service with an extensive menu.
Our stay inclusive breakfast already, the breakfast is very much catered for Indonesians which is a bit unfortunate. There are very few western options thus we didn’t like it much.
Our departing flight was from Terminal 2, for that you can use the Sky Train (Does not operate at night). To get to the Sky Train is slightly mote complicated as one has to either go down or up to arrivals/departures then exit the airport building and then go down/up again to reach the platform.
The Shower was tricky, it did not provide hot or cold water continuously and was changing temperature all the time from extremely hot to very cold.
Conclusion
The rooms were very quiet, clean and functional. The only issue we faced was the shower temperature which changed continuously.
The hotel provides 24h room service which had a very extensive menu, we ordered two dishes which were absolutely fine !
The staff were friendly and check-in fast.
Breakfast was mostly Indonesian food (Rice-Noodles etc), very limited western options such as waffles or pancakes.
Would definitely stay here again. It's clean and very conveniently located next to the terminal.
